Fun game ideas

• Sink or Float Challenge: Fill sand and water trays with water and gather various objects of different materials, shapes, and sizes. Let the children predict whether each object will sink or float when placed in the water. They can then test their hypotheses by placing the objects in the tray and observing the results. This game encourages critical thinking and introduces basic concepts of buoyancy.
• Sandcastle Building Contest: Fill one side of the water tray with sand and provide moulds, spoons, and other sandcastle-building tools. Divide the children into teams and challenge them to build the most elaborate sandcastles within a time limit. Use the water from the other side of the tray to moisten the sand for easier moulding. This game fosters teamwork, creativity, and fine motor skills.
• Fishing for Numbers or Letters: Scatter transparent numbers or transparent letters in the water tray. Provide children with cups and challenge them to "catch" the specific numbers or letters as instructed. This game helps reinforce numeracy or literacy skills in an engaging way.

Provide each child with a small boat or foam raft and challenge them to navigate their vessel through the course as quickly as possible using only their hands to create waves or wind to propel the boats.
