Fun game ideas
- Colour Sorting: Scatter the Rainbow Pebbles on a table or floor and have children sort them by colour into different piles or containers. This game helps reinforce colour recognition and sorting skills.
- Sensory Bins: Fill a sensory bin with materials like rice or sand and hide Rainbow Pebbles within. Children can dig through the sensory material to find the pebbles, engaging their senses while also practising fine motor skills and exploration.
- Tower Building Contest: Challenge children to build the tallest tower they can using linking cubes. Set a time limit and see who can construct the tallest, most stable tower. This activity encourages teamwork, spatial awareness, and engineering skills.
- Counting and Math Games: Use linking cubes for counting activities, such as counting how many cubes tall a tower is or creating simple addition and subtraction problems.
- Count and Sort: Scatter the farm animal counters on a table or play area. Have children count how many of each animal there are and sort them into groups by type. This activity reinforces counting skills and introduces the concept of sorting.
-
Memory Match: Place pairs of animal counters face down on a table. Children take turns flipping over two counters at a time, trying to find matching pairs of animals. If they find a match, they keep the pair and have another turn. The player with the most matches at the end wins. This game enhances memory and concentration skills.
